The way you have your signs attach to an exterior wall, using threaded rod and nuts, assumes one can access the back of the wall. But this is rarely the case. I made two brackets out of aluminum angle that I can attach to the wall and fit behind the backplate at the top and bottom. I drilled a hole in the center of the top and bottom edges of the backplate, which line up with holes that I drilled and tapped in the angle. Two 6-32 bolts attach the backplate to the wall. The sign is beautiful, and thanks for the small transformer. I just think you need a better way to attach the sign to the wall.
